I was buying some food for my dog today and the reality of the end of the holiday season hit me. Reality came in the form of three dog toy bins labeled with signs that read, “Christmas toys, 2 for $1.” 10 days ago, those chew toys probably cost five or six times the amount they were today. What a rip off. I guess it was good for some people, like the guy in front of me who got a basket full of stuff for $13. But what about the people who paid full price a week and a half ago? I was pissed for those full-price- paying people.
But, I guess sometimes you stick it to the man and sometimes the man sticks it to you. I think I was pissed most of all because my dog doesn’t like chew toys, so I couldn’t take advantage of the great deal that lay before me. And of course because Christmas is over. 😩
